daveoman1966 3,752 #1 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) Either on this forum or on FB, someone asked about the HEIGHT ADJUST LEVER not staying in the pre-set position(s). Tried to explain in words, but nearly impossible. So, here are a few pics of what I tried to explain using a C Clamp to solve the problem. Loosen (don't remove) the two quadrant bolts enough for it to slide sideways. With it loose, C clamp it to the Handle Spring-loaded Channel. While clamped, tighten the two quadrant bolts. Lee1977 6,677 #2 Posted May 28, 2019 I always add a plate inside the deck as Wheel Horse didn't. They added plate inside at the lift points. The wheel height adjustor supports the total weight of the deck and it's worse on a 42"deck cause the deck to crack in that area and rust holes in the deck. The 48 has better support because that end of the deck isn't open, but I add one there too. I also add plates under the wheel bracket. Here are pictures of a 42" deck that came with my 520. I added plates boths sides as the was cracked and big hole rusted between the wheel bracket and the height adjuster.
