ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #3 Posted May 26, 2019 Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon to me. Time spent with a chainsaw in hand or on the seat of a WH is time well spent in my books. Need to do a little wood cutting myself today if the weather holds out and doesn’t dump another two inches of rain on us this afternoon. Can’t make out what kind of saw you’ve got in your trailer there, my saw of choice is my Stihl MS250 I bought to replace 3 of my older saws when I sold my tree cutting equipment, but I’ve still got grandads old Husqvarna 372xp if I get into some real big stuff

Oh man it's about time!!! 3 hours ago, Professor1990 said: kind of saw Been a great day so far and we're not done yet. My buddy had come over and help us out. Him and his wife. They took three, 10 cubic foot trailer loads of wood and we have three waiting to be stacked. Trina and I are on our own for the rest of the evening but we will probably go back down in the forest and get another two loads tonight. We'll see how we hold out. The two saws I have are an Echo CS490 that I picked up a couple years ago. Been great so far. Good saw for the money. Not a monster but definitely has plenty of power for me. The other one I just recently acquired. As you all know I don't much time online except Redsquare so I mentioned to several family members that if they see a small to medium-sized saw for sale please let me know. My sister says... I've got one you can have. Turns out her husband didn't like it for whatever silly reason. That's a Stihl ms180c. It's probably 7 or 9 years old but it has almost no hours on it whatsoever. Might as well be brand new. I used that exclusively today and I'm very very happy with it. It's a great little saw. Well balanced. Decent power for the size until you get into 8 or 10 inch thick hardwood. At that point you just have to take your time. My buddies tractor is a Sentinel made by Noma. 18 horse V-Twin Briggs that runs and sounds like a Harley engine. 6 speed peerless transaxle.
