jeff lary 171 #3 Posted May 23, 2019 I made one for my 37" deck from 1/2 rebar last summer. I got the deck cleaned and treated underneath then I tack welded one end of the rebar to the far right or left side of the deck. Then with torches I heated the rebar while slowly bending the bar to fit the contour of the deck. I tack welded about every 4" or so the got the torch going again tack heat tack heat and so on till I was all the way around the forward portion of the deck. Then just went back and ran a bead of weld all the way around both inside and out. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I am convinced the cause of the cracks in this area is from running blades that are not balanced.
