Crazy_Carl 254 #1 Posted May 16, 2019 So My Dad has this unknown year (s/n plate missing when I bought it) C-105 out at his hobby farm that we both really enjoy mowing with. You can tell by the spindle on the left side that the deck it it a very old 48" side discharge deck. That spindle has some play and I would like to replace it. We've replaced the right hand spindle with the newer style with the large stud to mount the blade on before but the dealer I used to go to for parts went out of business and I don't know the model number of the deck to look up the appropriate parts for it. At some point someone replaced the center spindle but now the shaft is bent so maybe I can get a replacement shaft to save some money. Also my dad and I made some repairs to the sheet metal a few years back but now there's another hole in the sheetmetal and we'd like to get a fresh deck stamping if we can or a good condition used one. Crazy_Carl 254 #3 Posted May 16, 2019 For now I'm actually just looking for part numbers and parts lists. I think the wanted ad would be my next step.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #4 Posted May 16, 2019 These are the 48" SD decks that use the still available blades with a single 3/4" center hole. Before this the blades had a 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole and are now next to impossible to find the replacements. 1977 model 75-48MS02 - (First deck to use blades with 3/4" center hole) 1978 model 85-48MS01 1979 model 95-48MS00 1979 model 95-48MS01 1980 model 05-48MS01 1981-1983 model 05-48MS02 1984 model 05-48MS03 1985 model 05-48MS04 1986-1988 model 05-48MS05 1987-1988 model 05-48SC01 1989 model 15-48SC01 1990 model 15-48SC02 1991-1992 model 15-48SC03 1993-1997 model 78360 1998-2007 and 2009-12 model 78361 - These all use blades with 3/4" center hole Any of these decks will fit and your tractor is a 1980-1984 model. Over the years the spindle assemblies also changed. Look up a parts list using the model number and compare to what you have. let us know if you need help.
