JAinVA 4,619 #1 Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) Hello all, My wife and I have decided to attend at least one day at the big show. This will be a first for us both. The one thing I have heard about it is to bring a chair. While that sounds like a plan ,my son took all my aluminum lawn chairs. I had to buy some off E-bay and they showed up today. They were described as vintage and I guesss they are but I remember when they were $4.99 new.I am also thinking about loading the crane tractor up so you guys can look at it.I don't plan on taking it off the truck but if there is enough interest it will make the truck ride better. JAinVA 4,619 #7 Posted May 15, 2019 What does it weigh?I have lots of foldable chairs that come in the bags. They are heavy and are a pain to put back in the holsters. I will be the old guy with the blue and white webbed lawn chairs.I would like to meet as many of the folks on here as I can. The few of you I have met in person have been a joy.

kthack657 279 #17 Posted May 16, 2019 It is a great event!! You will not be disappointed. We always have extra chairs to sit in, and at least 1 easy up for shade!! Look for the big red tent across from Glen Cockerham ( he is the one with the tractor trailer bed outside the barn area
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #18 Posted May 16, 2019 You cannot bring a tractor to the big show and not take it off the truck !! They have a loading ramp close to the road to make loading and unloading easy. 4
wallfish 17,000 #19 Posted May 16, 2019 Might as well unload it if you bring it. There's a place you can back up to and drive it on and off. Plenty of space to park it when not driving it around. You'll be sorry if don't. Plus that's an extra seat 1
JAinVA 4,619 #20 Posted May 16, 2019 Thanks guys. Not ever having attended I was not sure of the correct etiquette. 1
elcamino/wheelhorse 9,299 #21 Posted May 16, 2019 Bring a rain coat or other items that will keep you dry. AT some time during the 3 days there will be water falling out of the sky. You have to visit the Mash Pole and Howard. 4
wallfish 17,000 #22 Posted May 16, 2019 Just now, JAinVA said: correct etiquette. Have fun and enjoy the show is the proper etiquette. The first show is like data overload. They'll be so much to take in and meeting lots of friendly people that time passes way to quick, almost like time traveling. It's hard to explain but you'll see what I mean after you leave. Just make sure you get in the group pic too. They usually announce it over the loud speaker when it's time. 3
