Pullstart 62,783 #1 Posted May 14, 2019 If you have any old stuff with painted up wheels, could you post a pic or ten up here please? I’m still going to try to convince my wife that Frank should get a nice set of wheels before we call the project done. I prefer dark like Putt Putt has, but light colors are welcome here too. I won’t show her this post, so you can remain anonymous to her 😎 but I will show her your ride 👍 It seems like @AMC RULES and @dells68 have some round hoods that would fit the bill, didn’t @Sparky do up a square hood cruiser last fall with a harbor freight mill? @Achto I don’t have any white walls, but how about the rat rod?
dells68 7,498 #3 Posted May 14, 2019 Here ya go Kevin. I like the weathered look with black wheels, but white can look nice too! 6 4

WHX?? 48,760 #7 Posted May 14, 2019 (edited) Ok I'll jump in on this one ... before & after. I wanted patina rims but all the 6-12's I have are full of holes and I just couldn't go with PO paint job! This patina is beyond nice Dells! If those wrinkles in the hood could talk! Edited May 14, 2019 by WHX22 5 3 2

Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #10 Posted May 14, 2019 I’m not a fan of brite shiny white rims at all, but the factory linen beige or almond color in my opinion does look great. This is my “patina” Commando with almond rims. 6 5

This ole gal lived one rough life before I got her. I did have to blend in a little red to bring back a little color to her. I just couldn’t bring myself to paint it up and fix those wrinkles. They tell a lot about how she was treated! 5 3
ebinmaine 67,262 #16 Posted May 15, 2019 I got no pics to put in Kev but you go tell that woman some crazy fool from Maine said she NEEDS to have nice looking rims on that tractor. You may want to duck after you tell her that. I won't have to so you will get her wrath. LINEN COLORED... 1

WHX?? 48,760 #22 Posted May 15, 2019 We have had this discussion before about what to do with clorided rims when wanting to stay orginal... agreements are paint them anything but green or yellow and since you have other heavy mods and makeing a career out of this tractor all bets are off! So you had to text yer missus those pics is that my understanding? Best not be given us the smiley kisses!

Close enough to share, far enough I had a fightin’ chance of not getting something thrown at me! Remember I didn’t want to reveal identities of who I got the pics from!
