Convert snow thrower to sweeper

Curious if anyone has ever converted a snow thrower attachment to a sweeper attachment and, if so, if they could share pics, design suggestions, materials, etc.  Thanks!

I have been thinking the same thing ,I have a old snow blower attachment  and thought it might make a good sweeper. Have not looked into it more than that but would like to see how or if someone has done it.

Are you planning on sweeping snow or getting stones back on the drive/road and out of the yard or what have you in mid to do with it.  i have a sweepster, have never considered it for snow.  The wind would blow it all over the place (note in the video there was no apparent breeze and i could have plowed that area a heck of a lot faster)).  bad enough sweeping the yard i have to wait for the right wind conditions or you get a face full.  Mine has a fixed angle would be nice if you could reangle it like a dozer blade.

Converting a snow blower shell will probably work if you can find the bristle brush to fit inside.

I converted a walk behind sweeper to use on a tractor. Unfortunately the build pics are missing from the build thread but here's the end result. It wasn't very difficult to gear it down with chain and sprockets. You definitely want to slow it down compared to a snow blower auger.

Thanks for sharing ideas, etc.  I used to have a Gravely walk behind tractor with a power broom (what they call a sweeper) and it worked great for the light snow we get in SW Ohio.  I can get one made for my Gravely rider, but they are big and expensive—and the replacement brushes for the Gravely unit are difficult to get.  I was thinking about a smaller one using a converted snow thrower and WH tractor.  An issue in converting the snow thrower to a sweeper is I believe the direction of rotation would need to be reversed and I would have to source a brush that would fit inside the snow thrower frame.  Just looking for ideas at this point.

Just re-route the chain for the auger or shaft to change the direction. Gearing it down is the most difficult issue after finding and fitting the brush. You will also need to tilt the snowblower box or cut some of the bottom off
