1990Onan520-H 15 #1 Posted May 13, 2019 Does anyone know the maximum weight the 520 hydro lift can handle? Granted I know things like how far out the weight is and such matters, but ballpark. For example, if I had a 2 stage snow blower and added weight on top of it, at what point would the lift fail to operate or damage itself trying to lift something? Jackson Escue 0 #2 Posted September 13, 2021 ive put weight on my lift before, myself and the dozerblade wich was around 250lb and it didnt strugal so i would think 400 or so. it also has a release valve so it should not damage anything.

kpinnc 11,932 #4 Posted September 14, 2021 (edited) The 60 inch deck is about 350lb, and it yanks it up like it's nothing. The weak part if there is such a thing is the center tower itself. Older 520s tend to have stress cracks around the bellcrank if it was used with a 60 inch deck. Adding weight way out on a leveraged blower might be asking alot, but I live in NC and wouldn't have a clue about one. We used to joke about setting one in a puddle with dish soap and blowing bubbles for a kid's birthday party but otherwise I'd never have the need for one.
