Jeffinky 1 #1 Posted May 13, 2019 Hey all, new to posting, I have read a bunch on forums before. I have a 16 Auto, I personally have never seen another one. I don't go to shows, I use all my wheel horses. Its of course a hydro model, but the lever is between your legs. It is a poor design. It has a 48 inch deck and a electric clutch. I was just wondering if this is a rare model? I just pulled the motor, and put on my 1267, my tilling tractor. The 16 auto is in pretty rough shape and I was thinking of parting it the rest the way out. Of course anything can be fixed up, there is no paint anywhere on the tractor, and the rear end leaks, the seals are out. . I bought it because I wanted the blade. Owner said it did not run, had not ran for 20 years. A little oil in the plug hole, a little patience, new plugs and points, and she runs great, and uses NO oil! Just don't want to part out a rare model. Right now in my stable is my 520H/60 inch, 417A/48 inch 42, C160/42 inch RD, 1267/tiller/front blade/boom with winch, homemade, 16 auto/48 inch not running , and a newer walmart looking, plastic, Toro/wheel horse, 44 inch mulching deck and a 14 briggs.
rjg854 11,623 #2 Posted May 13, 2019 I have a 16 auto too, just the same as yours. Great tractor in my mind. I'm used to the lever where it is, so it's not a problem for me. .

ZXT 2,401 #5 Posted May 13, 2019 I personally hate to see any viable tractor parted out. About $20 worth of seals will fix your rear end leaking. Keep an eye out for a cheap Kohler on craigslist or Facebook marketplace. They come up from time to time.
