ebinmaine 70,707 #1 Posted May 12, 2019 What have you folks done to make a cupholder for a tractor that didn't have one? Magnetic? Bolt on? Duct tape? Let's see some pics...

Our forest ground is waaaaayy too rough to carry anything in a holder. A comment by another member made me wonder if others have made one up.
squonk 42,519 #4 Posted May 12, 2019 If you carry beer or pop in it, they will get flat rather quick from the bouncing.
JAinVA 4,629 #5 Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) Noting Squonk's post I asked my brother inlaw about his use of the cup holder on his mower. He said it was to hold the empties. Edited May 28, 2019 by JAinVA 3

Your brother in law is right. If you drink them fast they will not go flat. That job is not for sippers. It is for gulpers. 1

SylvanLakeWH 27,504 #10 Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) How about this? NOS Pt. No. WHumbrla001 w/ cup.foldable. Saw one on CL for $495.00. Easy, added benefit of shade with cup, and you do not need to attach anything to the tractor that might be construed as altering it's all original status... The dude in the ball cap does not come with the umbrella and can be replaced by anyone...husband, wife, significant other, chimpanzee... LengerichKA88 1,883 #13 Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) Use a magnetic parts bowl as the base, gorilla glue your desire length of PVC to the OD of the lip, and BOOM. Removable cup holder. *You could even get an end and cut the center out of it so that it’s just a ring with a lip. Put the parts bowl in it with a thin bead of adhesive on the bottoms side of the lip. Then you have another surface to put adhesive where the cap overlaps the pipe Shouldn’t cost much if you wait for them to be the Harbor Freight coupon of the week. Go buy a 3 dollar tarp and get the bowl free 😂 Not that I’ve ever done that. Edited May 12, 2019 by LengerichKA88 3
LengerichKA88 1,883 #14 Posted May 12, 2019 Speaking of harbor freight magnetic merchandise.... you could take two of those magnetic strips they sell to put on a wall and hold tools and put them on the underside of a nice piece of plywood and you’ve got yourself a Wheel Horse drive in tray that’ll stay put. You can add a cup holder to that how ever you want 😂 1

Turftech 82 #17 Posted May 12, 2019 Here is the standard issue cup holder Toro is mounting on their commercial golf equipment the for the last several years. It is a soft flexible bag held on a loop and the Rough Mower machines they come on can get thrashed out on the course. It has been so successful in limiting spills we have added them to some of our legacy fleet. Works best with the drink transferred into a travel mug and no the mugs have not bounced out - yet. The one in the picture is on my Biddeford (Plum) tractor. To date no runs, no drips, no errors. If anyone is interested I can get the part # at work tomorrow and post it.
Turftech 82 #18 Posted May 12, 2019 I did have the part # in my files it is 117-2378 Holder, Bag. 1

clueless 3,111 #25 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) I never got the whole cup holder on a garden tractor. Maybe when pushing snow, I don't know never done that, but anything I use my tractors for it is to bumpy or dusty or a combination of both. I also think it says something about our manly fortitude today when cup holders are a selling point on a tractor, and a cigarette lighter was 50 years ago . But then again my daughter says I can be an oldschool ass sometimes. Edited May 28, 2019 by clueless
