prondzy 3,881 #1 Posted May 11, 2019 I would like to show you my winter project, i call it the TUB-RAT. I was totally in love with the car and motorcycle that @wallfish made and wanted to do something myself but how could i be different? I also challenged myself to use only parts i had laying around and some steel from the scrapyard. I had an idea and layed some parts out here was the rough draft of my idea Here it is at a later stage fitting the steering wheel position still a long way to go I kept plugging away at it and this is what i came up with it has a 3speed transaxle, and standard long frame. I used a kohler k161 from a gear reduction snowblower. The only place i splurged was on front tires thanks @Achto for the white wall idea. My image i tried to use as a model was an old T bucket. Well here she is TUB-RAT 12 13 1

wallfish 17,014 #20 Posted May 12, 2019 Very nice use of spare WH parts and you certainly met the challenge of using them. One thing to be very careful of, is trusting the snap rings for the front spindles if that's the only support holding them. They WILL pop loose. 2

I took that into consideration when building, that is why i drilled and tapped the ends and installed with loctite grade 8 washers and bolts to hold the spindles into the axle 1

71_Bronco 1,072 #25 Posted May 12, 2019 The shot from the front reminds me of the '32 high boy fords. Out of curiosity, how did you extend out the rear wheels? And do you think it will be strong enough? 1
