Mudrig150 298 #1 Posted May 7, 2019 (edited) A couple months ago my buddy had a cub cadet racing tractor, a 126 (gear drive) with a 24 horse engine. It could hit almost 35 MPH. At one point he was driving it and he crashed hard. He was flying down the road at 20+ MPH, he slowed down a bit and tried to turn but the front end had other ideas, and slid straight instead of turning. He tried to hit the brakes, but that just locked the tires. He was thrown clear as the front end slammed into a fire hydrant and the tractor rolled twice and ended up in a fence. He was rushed to the ER with a broken rib which almost punctured his lung, a bruised femur, and a fractured wrist. The tractor busted the steering column clean in half, bent the hood, dash, fenders, and rear axle, and also split the front axle clean in half at the pivot pin. He has since made a full recovery, but he says that his rib still hurts occasionally, and also he has since sold the tractor for parts. roadapples 6,983 #5 Posted May 8, 2019 There's a reason these tractors were made to go six mph....
