Stealth126 54 #1 Posted May 7, 2019 Does anybody have a picture of the original style seat that would have come on a 1067? I'm trying to make mine as original as possible. Thanks.
ACman 7,606 #2 Posted May 7, 2019 This is my seat on my 1057 don’t pay attention to the blue circles just a couple off areas I need to get fixed . @WHX22 Jim might be able to help us out here as there was slight differences between models if I remember correctly . Man an I sure was eyeballing your tractor on CL for it seemed like a year before you bought it . The originality is was drew me in but he sure wanted a good $$$ for it. He would never return my calls. Sure glad someone got it who appreciates it. Heck I liked it so much I saved a picture of it . There was a guy in St Charles who had some parts listed on CL . He had some original Wheel Horse front wheels and tires. Good luck 2

Might as well pick up yours too Stealth while I'm at it! Seriously get a pic of the underside of the fender pan Stealth, like to see what is there for mounting holes. Jeff's pic does have what we believe to be the correct seat on all '67's both long and short frames. I often suspected a four bolt mount, low or mid back seat might have been used on some but that glass is not holding much water any more but may indeed be true due to the fact a skid of "incorrect" seats were brought out to the assembly line to get used up as we know this to be true with other model year builds. Can you confirm your tractor is all orginal Stealth? Sure is a nice lookin one if it is. I do see a couple of things that tell me not. The steering wheel, seat and possibly the battery box. I'll get some more pics of my 67' seats later. 16 minutes ago, ACman said: I sure was eyeballing your tractor on CL You should be drummed out of the corps for not scoring on it! 1
Stealth126 54 #4 Posted May 7, 2019 The front tires were original but split between the tread so that the tube bulged out. I think the battery box is original. I have it shimmed for my smaller battery. The seat is a michigan seat company generic. I wouldn't know about the steering wheel. Nothing to compare it to. Stealth126 54 #5 Posted May 7, 2019 The paint is original. Up close it's not as nice as it looks in that picture but nice enough to where I won't paint it. I love that tractor.

Stealth126 54 #7 Posted May 7, 2019 I can't let this one go but I did pick up an interesting Raider 14 that has electric lift set up where it used to have electric clutch. Comes with a 54 inch blade and a 42 inch deck.
ACman 7,606 #8 Posted May 7, 2019 (edited) I swear that those steering wheels were a dealer replacement . If they couldn’t get the wheel off without wrecking it they put those steering wheels on as a replacement . Seen this same steering wheel on to many different models and years tractors to happen on the line but who knows it’s a Wheel Horse. @WHX22 said “Jeff... I best just come get the whole dang thing” Was just talking with my son about who and where I’d like to see my tractors go . Seriously thinking of heading to Mentune with all my stuff a unloading it to people who can use it . Edited May 7, 2019 by ACman

WHX?? 48,589 #10 Posted May 7, 2019 (edited) Note the seat in this pic from the owners manual .. This is why the low back seat glass may hold some water yet. It is thought that since the six speeds were a deluxe model with head lights and cigar lighter and such they may have been given a seat upgrade. Some originals have been spotted with flat pan, two bolt centerline mount seats tho as on the 857, 10 &1257's This seat is thought to be original on my 1067. It would have the embossed on it. The kicker is note the seat in the above picture has lines embossed on it. Mine has no lines so is it indeed orginal? Mine has the on it. ACman 7,606 #11 Posted May 7, 2019 (edited) .... you sure know your 67’s Jim ! Just look at @The Tool Crib ‘s tractor seat . Same seat as brochure (still see the lines in the foam) except for that Techy ........ Edited May 7, 2019 by ACman

You mention dealer replacements Jeff so it's entirely possible dealers did seat swaps to tailor sales to customers wants. Jeepers cats Cribs that is one ungly of a mother seat...
