In the wild west the cowboys used to say that the coffee was done when you could float a horseshoe on it. Around here we use an iron wedge. Tree sap is taster then what a horseshoe steps in.
The Tuul Crib 7,338 #27 Posted May 5, 2019 I got this morning and told the misses she wouldn’t have any water for the next few hours . I flushed out my hot water heater like l do every year. Calcium deposits at the bottom. I built my house 20 years ago and purchased life time water heater and have replaced it three times since then and never paid a bit for the new ones!! Thanx lowes!!

For having 65 hours into this play through already I don't feel like I've accomplished much. Although that probably has almost a full day of me having paused the game and leaving it open while I was off doing other stuff.

Tractor boy 239 #36 Posted May 5, 2019 Well church in the morning. Then after that time to look at the old toro zero turn mower we use to cut the grass there. At the end of last season it was running on one cylinder. (This is a opposed cylinder model) Checked the spark seemed good. Pulled the valve cover off the bad cylinder and the rods came out with the cover. They were both bent at weird angles so theres the problem. Well at this point it was about 4:30 so I slapped it back together and i will get parts in the morning. Post coming in the engine section soon..... (sorry no pictures)

formariz 11,991 #38 Posted May 6, 2019 (edited) Many coffees today.Had to do a bit of work today finishing phase 1 of a sizeable job. Finishing all drawer and door fronts with a dreaded pickled finish(got to give them what they want). Tedious work, its like it never ends, four step process with sanding in between. Got done at about 5 and just came back from having dinner with the little woman. Now its couch time until about 10. Then check everything making sure its ready for reassembling and delivery tomorrow. WHX?? 49,882 #40 Posted May 6, 2019 Where do get the time to think up this crap anyway EB??? Seems like the fellas like it tho so I will go with the flow..... Speaking of which the toilet backed up at my Spike Camp this morning looking much like what's in your kettle EB So spent the AM digging and diving the septic tank to see what's plugged. Sorry no pics ..one doesn't take ones camera on a mission suck (such) as this! Like Sparkeye coffee gets peed out of a Kuerig but best out of percolater at tractor shows on a over zealous camp stove. Coffee grounds make for good fiber in one's diet! BTW Digger ..did you not see the the proper mandages in bumps and bruised using black or duct tape? 1

The coffee I make is actually very similar to old school percolator coffee. Just a tad sweeter. That's the reason I boil it. It's made so because the oils in coffee which make it bitter are boiled out and land on the inside of the pan. (The brown substance decorating the inside of my boiling pan semi-permanently). Before I pour from an open boiling pan I let the coffee settle for a minute or two. There are no grounds in it.

I know what you mean. I haven't had time to mess with the old Generator engine yet. That's a Kohler twin 23. Wouldn't that be interesting in a mid-70s C-series... I have been seriously pondering the construction of a cupholder for the 855. Something magnetic that I can put on, use to hold my water while I mow, but then I can pop it off and don't have to make any permanent modifications. That cup holder is one of the few things I will actually miss about Juan.
firemonkey5 0 #48 Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) Gonna mow, drop my son off to his aunt and then I have to meet and have a cup of coffee with my irritating real estate agent. We've been searching for a property in Budva, Montenegro, it's been 6 months and he still couldn't manage to find a single property fitting to our needs. LengerichKA88 1,883 #50 Posted May 12, 2019 I’m cleaning up the house for the misses. “The Pacific” is on in the background (great mini series about Marines in WWII if you haven’t seen it) and she’s out with the boy junior spending money. Today’s a lazy day for us.
