Looking for bolt sizing Wheel horse 855

Recommended Posts

Talltale

Was helping a friends mom mow her yard today her mower broke down ole trusty wheel horse to the rescue. Mid mow noticed i was getting a grinding noise and loss of power to my deck. Stop the mower and the blades were tight took the cover off for the gear set and low and behold

I was missing two bolts that attached my PTO gear to the mower deck. Step 1 complete identify the problem. Now on to step two find two of the correct size bolts.

Attached are pictures from another member hopefully somebody has some info as to where I can find new parts.

This ipl shows 3/8-16 x 1-1/4" bolt item 28 in the illustration which is a common course thread. Item 27 is a standard 3/8" lockwasher. Click on the picture.

Don't get them too tight because they are threaded into aluminum. Hope the threads are still ok. You might try a 1-1/2" bolt without a lockwash just to see if it will go in. If it does add the lockwasher. The extra thread if it is there will help.
