briankd 817 #1 Posted May 2, 2019 been wanting a sprayer to spray my 3/4 acre yard for some time now .looked at the ones that TSC has but couldn't justify the price . my dad b ought one years ago and for what they are they are cheaply made . my dad got this 35 gallon tank and 2.1 gpm pump from the county hwy. dept. when he retired they decomisioned his old plow truck they used this tank and pump to spray additive onto the salt as it come out the back of truck. he gave it to me couple yrs ago and i finaly built me a sprayer . was in rural king couple week ago and they had a spray boom kit for fifty bucks included boom nozzles hose preasure regulator manafold what a deal that was buy it all seperate for 3 times that amont. I've got about 70 bucks in this setup and it sprays 7 foot swath just as good or better than the 300 dollar ones you buy at TSC. 7 4

Pullstart 62,796 #4 Posted May 3, 2019 The guy I picked up the Commando 6 from recently used a 4 prong trailer wire harness on his tractors for using a sprayer. I’m not sure how you wired it, or if this is a dedicated spray rig, but that might come in handy. Great work, I bet yours will last longer too!
Lee1977 6,643 #5 Posted May 3, 2019 I have been think about getting a rope wick applicator. I tried to post a link but my computre won't work right. It's a 5' long 3" tube with 14 rope wicks. I was thanking about making an attachment to the clevis hitch. I built a sprayer but find a day when you can spray with it calm enough that you don't get more spray then the weeds is tough to find. Check it out. Agri Supply - rope wick applicator.
