At 5'-6" she's the second tallest only to her own daughter. Lotsa giants there. So I'm 6'-2" with any shoes on. You area lucky man to have someone that shares your interests so much and participates in the associated chores. As to the physical part seems to me that you may not want to get her really upset at you. LOL My first job i worked for K&F Construction out of kendallville indiana and i learned real quick. also learned how to measure twice cut once. boss didnt let me live down cutting 30 some 2x4's the wrong size.
