bc.gold 3,403 #1 Posted April 27, 2019 Most of you probably never heard of the LKS welders, they were made locally in a small independent shop, they cut the lamination's for the transformer in house and used copper. They're no longer being made and the shop has since become a King tools distributor, sometimes one will show up in a farm auction but the price or distance keeps then out of my reach. This morning received a google alert, called the seller but told it has already been sold, disappointed in the google sent me the alert after the ad has had over a 181 views. My alert has been with google for well over three years and this was the first LKS alert. I have since purchased an older Lincoln buzz box that meets my needs and then I also have use of the Farm shop and equipment every couple pf months I'll give Collin a hundred dollars to cover consumables. Sarge 3,463 #3 Posted April 27, 2019 I gave up trying to use those alerts - seems they get put on the back burner at best with Google compared to directly leaving a saved search on a sales site like eBay or otherwise. In the US, seems like all the really good used equipment has gone the way of the plethora of social media sales pages - some truly bizarre things have shown up lately - including a rebuilt Bridgeport lathe of a deceased owner. Missed that one by literally 5 minutes, they sold it for $1,200 cash. The guy had literally truck shipped it out to a rebuilder and it has never been put into service when the owner took ill and died. Been watching that posting for other machinist's tools and equipment - from the pictures he had quite a collection. Sarge
