cutting deck query

I was wondering if this would work with my 1972 Commando 800?

 

I suspect it might be a little too modern.

That deck looks to be for a vertical shaft tractor.  It would certainly take some modification to make it work on a horizontal shaft tractor.  I'd keep looking, it should not be too hard to find the right deck...even in Scotland.
