ebinmaine 67,274 #26 Posted April 24, 2019 @Ed KennellKennell The lower item looks like it would roll and leave an impression of some sort. Ink or paint transfer to form a specific repeating pattern.
Ed Kennell 38,022 #27 Posted April 24, 2019 No cigar Eric @ebinmaine but it dos roll.

Something I carve occasionally when I find a piece of firewood with the right grain orientation . Those are rough cut on the band saw just waiting for me to finish them. WHX?? 48,779 #36 Posted April 24, 2019 You probably cheated Jimbo and had Cas pm you the answer! I had to them to figure out what they were for. Sadly no don't have the rest of it. In fact I have no idea where these came from tho they where in a desk drawer at work forever! Check out the price on them ...
formariz 11,987 #37 Posted April 24, 2019 They belong to these below. Give you $10.00 for them.
WHX?? 48,779 #38 Posted April 24, 2019 Go you one better Cas .... they are yours for free you give them a good home! I am obviously not the sliver wizard you are and have no use for them. I will put them in Dino's glove box when I see him at AJ's next month and you go snag them out when you see him @ the BS. @stevasaurus Don't let me forget! 1
formariz 11,987 #39 Posted April 24, 2019 You are the best. Thank you. I am not sure about the silver wizard part. The little woman calls me something totally opposite all the time. She gets a little incoherent when she is mad but I swear it sounds like something related to a donkey's anatomy I think. I'll send you some of the home brew so you can sip while preparing a good meal at the bench. You can also wipe bench with it, it's a great sterilizer.

JoeM 7,871 #41 Posted April 24, 2019 Those shift knobs looked like wood burls, I call them tree boogers. Pretty cool as knobs!

formariz 11,987 #46 Posted April 25, 2019 Just had to show a little more. That is it. Eventually they will look like this
Ed Kennell 38,022 #47 Posted April 25, 2019 Really neat pieces. I was about to enter a guess of gun stock for a muzzle loader pistol. Then you pulled them out and exposed the curved ladle handle. 1
formariz 11,987 #48 Posted April 25, 2019 Usually a piece catches my eye having natural curved grain for it or a natural defect like the finished one shown. Then it gets put aside as spoon material. Hmm gun stocks.
WHX?? 48,779 #49 Posted April 25, 2019 Cool Cas but they still look like shifter knobs... you know what tho as long as you are making ladles you could cut some notches in them and make spaghetti ladles like this. I call them men scratchers but would work good when Ed churns out them bow ties? My go to pasta ladle... 1
