Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #2 Posted April 18, 2019 I’m not familiar with a cold start clutch? Are you talking about the lever that disconnects the drive belt? If yes, that would be more for safety so the tractor doesn’t take off as soon as it’s running.

Cee245 818 #13 Posted April 19, 2019 @Matash The tutorial helped me a lot to navigate this site. Let me know if you need any help. PM me
peter lena 8,580 #14 Posted April 19, 2019 matash, very good pick up on that, also that you are on this site for help and ideas. looking at the tractor, i see the opportunity to easily make it look much better ( if you choose ) . i use a 6 " palm polisher from H/F along with , MAGUIRES CLEANER WAX , easily letting the polisher do the work. once the paint " breaks clear " finish with a soft cotton towel, i just did 2 of my horses , original paint , they look very good. i know you probably have a lot of things that you might want to do to ,like baseline maintenance , but that semi dull paint can be easily brought back to a shine. good luck with it , pete
richmondred01 2,237 #15 Posted April 19, 2019 You are going to like that 314.
oldlineman 1,481 #16 Posted April 19, 2019 Also it would help in cold weather starting by the starter not having to turn the cold motor with cold oil in it and the hyd. pump with cold oil in it. Just my thoughts. Bob
MAD MARK 74 #17 Posted April 19, 2019 Old lineman got it. Being a hydro, it disengages the drive belt to the hydro pump for use on cold days to allow the engine to start without load. You pull up and back. To re-enage you lift up and push forward while releasing it downward slowly. My 314-H has this and I use it quite a lot.
Alinva 14 #18 Posted April 19, 2019 Very nice. I'm new to wheel horse as well and recently picked up a 314H like yours. Haven't been able to spend much time on it yet but loving it so far.
