gt14rider 749 #28 Posted February 7, 2020 So I have 3 out of 5 good bushings, with the the bushing blocks, these bushings are more of a spacer, 1/32 flange keeps e-clips side to side play tight. I found those (gold plated 7879 bushings) for $12 apiece at Toro. But may try Mc Masters nylon ones, thanks for info. Pullstart 62,783 #30 Posted February 8, 2020 @bottjernat1 keeping in mind the anode should be in line with the paint/rust on the part... one anode in the side would be less effective than numerous anodes like pictured above. I used a 4” wide strip of steel bent in a U with a brake rotor welded to the center in the bottom of my tub for the most effective / quick anode coverage, but still had to rotate parts. Edit #2 one thing just measured the side plates on my GT14 steel is .1425 thick. If I read the chart right these only work on metal up to .135 thick Misread your post it should work on the neutral cam plate. Will not work on the motion control cross shaft as the side plates are too thick Edit #1 But I am going to add some to my next McMaster order. They will work great on my Charger/electros. gt14rider 749 #35 Posted February 16, 2020 (edited) Got those grommets and thay fit, seem to snap in to place. Fits the neutral cam plate too. The brake lever pivot pins were worn so ground welds, welded in new pins, added brass bushing to parking brake lever. We'll see if it will help with wear. Mocking up motion control lever, have to get new spring for cam plate and brake linkage. All the linkage works really smooth so far. Still waiting for a few more bushings and grommets. gt14rider 749 #38 Posted February 21, 2020 Did some work on mule drive, adj knob broke off , had a double nut on threaded rod, will make a new one. Looks like this thing took a good hit, bent front plate, cross rod bent, its been a little cold for sandblasting so it will have to wait. Putting bushings on neutral control pedal and linkage rods ends needed to be a little longer, so welded ends up, got them ground down to about .010 . Was going to braze the ends and file to size, but can't find welding tip. Went to harbor freight got #2 and a #4 tip. 11/2 he round trip, here we go, put on new tip , turn on acetylene fire it up, turn on oxygen nothing, tomorrow 2hr round trip to fill tank. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

gt14rider 749 #40 Posted February 24, 2020 Does anyone know if tractor ID tags are being reproduced. I have seen Kohler engine I'd tags with blank spot were # go. 19richie66 17,500 #41 Posted February 24, 2020 (edited) I had Terry (redoyourhorse.com) make a decal of one for me and I just made a new tag. Put the original one away. Couldn’t read anything on it but the model number. The serial number was gone so I used my dad’s birthday, kind of a small tribute.
