Did Wheel Horse manufacture anything for Sears?

I know this is somewhat Off-Topic but not completely.

I stopped at a gentleman's house on Sunday when I spied a large "red" tractor with bug-eye front head lights. From the road I thought I was looking at a "B" series Wheel Horse. On close inspection however, it was an old Sears Garden tractor circa 1960 something. The man told me he gutted the old Wisconsin or Wisconsin-Robin engine that was in it with the current engine. (A Kohler twin). Looked like my KT-17S but not sure. This tractor was a tank and reminded me of a Wheel Horse right down to the rear axle.

Long ago, did WH make tractors under different names for Sears and the like other than the Lawn mower variety? :omg:

No....... Wheel Horse was Wheel Horse and didn't build anything for anybody else. Interestingly enough other companys have built stuff for Wheel Horse-- I.E.--the 60" mower deck under the 520's came from John Deere :omg:

In the last 10 years, TORO does build some small tractors & decks for "New Holland" tractors, that look a lot like the last Wheel Horses made, only in Blue (in fact most of the parts are identical and you can even see the original Red paint where the blue was nicked). Worth stopping by and looking at to see some of the improvements, but not many. The 48" deck has really been beefed up & is much heavier.

An older woman outside town decided she didnt like her Toro lawn tractor so she went to a New Holland dealer and got a new tractor. Little did she know it was still a Toro tractor, just Blue. :omg:

Sorry for not thanking you guys for the responses. ((All work and no play lately here).

Interesting thing on the New Holland/Toro thing.

Again, thanks for the info.

Now I have to build up my courage to tackle a leaking rear axsle seal on my C121 Auto. I just know I'm going to commit DIY suicide on it but it's leaking too bad to ignore and I don't need to keep any dust down on the property.
