bottjernat1 2,190 #1 Posted April 9, 2019 (edited) Ok so im almost done putting my 1981 john deere 317 back together and i put a brand new gas gauge in the tank. and im wondering is there a way to adjust it so it faces the right way? im meaning when i tighten it down if your looking right at it it reads upside down. It fits perfect and is the right size. its a kelch brand. looks like the one in the picture. I thought i remember someone telling me they can be tinkered with. if not i will live with it. The Tuul Crib 7,338 #2 Posted April 9, 2019 How about a thicker gasket?
Sarge 3,464 #3 Posted April 10, 2019 I've run into the same issue with the Kelch gauge I put on my D180 - no real way to get it to land either facing front or rear, it comes out at a crazy angle that looks out of place. I'm not aware of any mod to make them index to another direction - but, a gasket thickness change will work to some extent. Sarge
