wallfish 17,078 #1 Posted April 2, 2019 This guy started a couple years ago and I went to the first one which had a decent turnout. Supposedly got a little bigger but doubt it's crazy. It was interesting what some people had there. Anyway, I plan to go again this year since it's close by. Probably bring the plow bike and a bunch of little O&R 2 stroke powered tools to display. Wayne, @Crazywheelhorseman just asked if I was going so assume he and maybe a few friends might be there as well. If anyone can make it, stop on by! You won't need a tractor to cruise this one but it's always best to bring one to display if you can. Food and drinks available at the diner and they make a great burger.
Crazywheelhorseman 67 #2 Posted April 10, 2019 I plan on being there. Not sure what I'm bringing yet, still gotta dig a few out 😂

Crazywheelhorseman 67 #5 Posted April 11, 2019 Not sure who else might be venturing out but I plan on having the truck loaded.
wallfish 17,078 #6 Posted April 11, 2019 I'll be bringing the snow plow bike since it fits right in with the motif of the show. Probably load up some of the 2 stroke tools either O&R or the Homelite stuff. Wayne, any chance you have a damaged suburban hood with a solid front grille? (gas tank for the bike)
Crazywheelhorseman 67 #7 Posted April 12, 2019 I don't have any junk round hoods available. I'll keep my eyes out for one tho. Also the clone of your wheel horse bike will be at the show too lol

Royalties to be paid on the bike patent are one Ralph's burger and one ice tea! Hopefully the weather holds out. They're forecasting rain but later in the day
Crazywheelhorseman 67 #9 Posted April 12, 2019 You can take it up with the owner of it, but you know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery 😂😂😂
wallfish 17,078 #10 Posted April 13, 2019 Loaded up and ready to go. Got the bike and some O&R tools to display. Have a couple O&R tools and a Homelite 2 stroke circular saw for sale. Free PVC pipe if anyone needs any. Looks like the rain is going to hold off until later in the evening so that's good. The organizer of the show Eric told me to show up about 9:30 am. Guess he's not an early riser.
Crazywheelhorseman 67 #11 Posted April 13, 2019 (edited) Says on the flyer show is from 10-4, bottom right corner Edited April 13, 2019 by Crazywheelhorseman
wallfish 17,078 #12 Posted April 13, 2019 Yeah I know but the setup time for displaying is always before the public admission time. That way the displays can be all setup ahead of time and we don't have to deal with too many people in the way while unloading, and everyone arriving all at the same time. Crazywheelhorseman 67 #13 Posted April 14, 2019 People tend to move out of my way. Maybe it's the truck... Lol🤔🤔😂😂

How much time do ya need to toss a bunch of weeds whackers out of the back door of your van? Isn’t this one of your “show displays”??
Sparky-(Admin) 21,403 #15 Posted April 14, 2019 Small show but it was great to get outside, shoot the breeze, listen to a hit/miss thumping away and the smell of unregulated exhaust! The weather was perfect! Got up in the 70’s by mid day. Met up with John and Wayne @wallfish and @Crazywheelhorseman . I even let John pay for lunch with my $50 bill (or at least that’s what the cute waitress at Ralph’s Diner thinks ) There was a young guy there who built a motorcycle along the same lines as Johns. Nice to meet a guy his age that doesn’t want to park his butt in front of a screen playing video games 👍 I snagged a few pics.... 1
wallfish 17,078 #16 Posted April 14, 2019 Big spender Sparky tricked the waitress girl into thinking he paid for lunch. She still wasn't impressed! LoL Max the bike builder was inspired by Matt's article in LAGT magazine. He even had the courtesy to contact me and ask if he could use my ideas to build his own. Of coarse this is not necessary but it certainly indicates what kind of person this young man is. It's great to see the younger generation getting involved with the garden tractor hobby. Especially when it's something creative which forces them to work through any issues and figure out ways to make it all work. I provided some basic information but he was able to build the entire thing including the whole frame. Max wasn't trying to build a clean looking new bike, he wanted the "rat rod" bobber appearance and I believe he nailed it. He still has quite a few more ideas and things he wants to add on to it so I'm looking forward to seeing it again out at one of the other shows. BTW, his bike steers much better than mine. That's the weed wacker display in the back 2
Crazywheelhorseman 67 #17 Posted April 15, 2019 It was a great time at Ralph's, John was so nice to buy Sparky and I lunch and yes the waitress was quite the cutie! It wasn't till I sat down to talk with the 2 guys that put it on that I found out that they actually have a lot more room than most people think. Over the years they have ended up with over 500 hotrods and over 3000 bikes for other events there. Yes it's different it's in a city but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't grow more and more
