May good fortune follow you always my friend. Thank you so much. From what i have seen in many many posts here is that many many people have you to thank for being able to repiair their equipment. 

Permit me to ask yet another question. The condenser on the "-" side of the coil, is there any difference between one for a JD for 19$ and one for a Massey Ferguson for $25 or a cheaper non brand specific one at tractor supply for 5$?

The diagram that @953 nut posted has a relay  and a volt meter in place of the amp gage that I used for my head lights. It's the blue wire. This diagram here is the original wiring , I don't want you to think it was part of the original wiring.

I've used it on two different tractors now and even made up my own diagrams for future diagnostic reasons.

 

You can get Kohler compatible condensers from many parts stores.

             With the Tractor Supply condenser you don't get the bragging rights of having over-paid for a "Genuine" part. Your engine will run just the same and you can buy yourself a present with the money you've saved.

Where are Bob' diagrams? It would be nice when someone has  say a no spark issue, we could direct them to a diagram to maybe help explain things.

Thanks Randy. I want to see if we can get Bob's diagrams into that thread. Color diagrams a much easier for someone who is not electrically inclined to understand and follow.

I've got them saved to my phone for quick reference, and even have some manuals on file too.  It's amazing what we do with phones these days.   It certainly not like the party lines of old

  I recently dismantled a metal body fuel pump that wasn’t working, gave it a good cleaning and reassembled and she is pumping like a new one. Maybe just a cleaning is in order?
