Kenneth R Cluley 530 #1 Posted March 28, 2019 Planning on driving up from Florida for show. On my "bucket list". Please help with possible locations to camp near the fairgrounds, and locations and events (get-togethers) as I would love to meet all of you that I have come to know on this site. Thanks,
lynnmor 7,337 #2 Posted March 28, 2019 You can camp right there, electric only. Give them a call. https://wheelhorseclub.com/

Can't camp at the fair grounds until Thursday though. Thursday is "Set-up" day, but it tends to be the biggest meet and great of the whole show. Wednesday evening, 6:00 pm for dinner! There will be about three dozen hard core enthusiasts there. http://www.italianvillagerestaurant.com/
rmaynard 15,556 #4 Posted March 28, 2019 Several good campgrounds in the Gettysburg area. However, as stated you can camp on-site. $20 per night starting Thursday night. RV electric sites on 1st come 1st served basis. No reservations. https://www.google.com/search?q=gettysburg+campgrounds&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS797US797&oq=gettysburg+campgrounds&aqs=chrome..69i57.8235j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-
Ed Kennell 38,411 #5 Posted March 28, 2019 Plan a few extra days before and/or after the show to take in the Gettysburg Civil War history. Gettysburg and Rt. 30 east is also a antique / flea market mecca. If you're into bikes, the Harley plant in York has daily tours. Let us know your interests, and maybe we can point you in that direction.
Kenneth R Cluley 530 #6 Posted March 28, 2019 I was born and raised in area but moved to Fl at age 15. Born in Harrisburg, lived south of Middletown. My house was at site where 3-Mile Island observation site was built. Seen Gettysburg and Hershey, York county etc. I like cycles, but the kind you pedal. Probably just sleep in back of truck with topper on it. Do they have bath/shower at sites? I have a friend in West Virginia that I will be stopping to see on way back. I definitely like old tools, woodworking, bicycles, cars, motorcycles, and obviously tractors. Thanks for help.

Pullstart 62,979 #10 Posted March 28, 2019 What about water/dump? I didn’t look much into that last year, didn’t ever plan on hauling a camp trailer to PA!

Water is available, but not a direct connect. Sewage dump is not available.
Lane Ranger 10,977 #12 Posted March 28, 2019 I have camped each time I have been at the Big Show. I camp on the eastern part of the fairgrounds under the big trees. They have two very good hot showers and clean bathroom in the building next to the fairground kitchen. A truck with a topper can easily park in the camping area. No eletric in the back area but if you have the camping equipment (stove, coffee pot, lanterns, etc ) you will be fine! 1

Unless the suddenly changed their schedule, They are open.
