Matt. 1 #1 Posted March 24, 2019 Looking for some help guys. I just got a charger 10 with afew attachments for it. But right now I need to get the deck squared away. As spring is approaching fast. I’m currently working 75 hours a week and don’t have much spare time. But I’m going to need new bearings blades and pulleys for the 36 inch deck. Catch is there is no part or serial number on the deck and I don’t have much free time to be researching parts any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I’m not to familiar with horses. Thanks Matt,
wallfish 16,985 #2 Posted March 24, 2019 Matt The best thing might be to post some pics of the deck best you can. Without some idea of what you have it's going to be difficult to suggest any help for. Sometimes it's just easier to post a wanted ad in the classified section for the complete spindles or a complete deck. Many of the shells get rotted but might have good spindles.

953 nut 55,085 #5 Posted March 25, 2019 Lots of members in PA, given a location you will find one who can set you up with a deck so your Charger can get out on the green grass.
daveoman1966 3,745 #6 Posted March 25, 2019 Charge 10 was made in 1969 (1-7041) and in 1972 (1-0410). Presuming the latter 1-0410 the 36" deck was model 5-0601 and the spindles / pullies / blades were known as the Double-D configuration. Here are THREE spindle assemblies with GOOD bearings, spindle cups, and dome washers that I took from a deck last year. I MAY also have useable side pulleys...will have to check on blades. For further details / pics / prices...send me an OFF-SITE email. my email address is: daveoman@windstream.net

Matt. 1 #9 Posted March 25, 2019 Also would the 10 horse engine be able to spin the 42 inch deck with easy? The property is fairly flat I just have 2.25 acres to mow and the john deere would take awhile some it'd be nice if it didn't take longer than what it used to. Matt. 1 #11 Posted March 27, 2019 I’ve found a 42 “ deck nearby. Thanks for all the replies and help. Guys. I just have to get the right belt size now. It’s different than my old 36” as it has a different mile drive set. If anyone knows off the the top of there heads it’d be greatly appreciated. If not I’ll measure it when I get home from work. This deck had the mule drive attached to it. And my tractor has it out front. I just took the bracket and pulley off the deck and going to use the existing mule drive from the tractor.
