All four of ours have 90 weight.

 

Four season usage.

 

Yes, keep the water out. I would add to that that if you're using it a lot to increase the change interval.

The Lawn ranger is supposed to get new oil every 8 or so years.  since she is my "daily driver" chore tractor I do it every 5 or 6...:P

I normally only use this tractor for winter work, plowing, or fall leaf clean up. That's why I lean the synthetic way, as its usually working in -10 to 30 degree weather with no warm up. I figured a few people would say what Paul said, as that's what my dad would say. He would chuckle and say, don't waste your money, just throw some 90 super tech in and run. :D
