Any tips on removing the drain plug. I just purchased a 416-8 and think it would be a good idea to drain the Transaxle.

Are you talking about the drain plug that is at the very bottom of the transmission? Not the one that is on the side?

If so, I've never seen one stuck because they sit in gear oil.

Appropriate sized allen wrench and try to tighten it just a hair first, then loosen it.

Here’s a tool I have found to be very handy for this to  particular  thing .

It is a plumbing tool I picked up at Home Depot a few years back. Fits perfectly on the drain plug

It's a faucet seat wrench,  that should supply a lot of leverage.

while you are at it , its probably a good time to replace the shiftier boot, they usually crack and let in moisture, about 9 $  on the net. use silicone grease on shiftier rod for smooth easy install , Pete
