Attach-A-Matic

How on earth does the attach-a-matic work with other attachments? I have a 520H but I have no idea the year of it which is another question of mine is how do I find the year. I am just wondering how you put implements on OTHER than the mower deck.

There is usually a decal under the seat with the exact model and serial number, Now this could be missing or painted over, the 520H was first introduced in 1988 and production ran till 1997, 88-89 had straight front axles 1990-newer have the swept forward front axle to accommodate 60" mower decks, as far as the attach-a-matic goes there's the front one where the mule drive (deck idler pulleys) go as well as a snow thrower/blower, the mid one of course for the mower deck and 2stage blower then there's the clevis hitch for rear attachments like a Brinly plow, then the read axle bracket/hitch for the snow/dozer blade and tiller, what you really need are the owner's manuals for the tractor and implements.

:WRS:

The Attach A Matic system has been around for a few decades and several implements like cultivators and the early design of the Mid Mount Grader Blade work with it.

The pictures of tractors in the implements section of Red Square has examples of use of the attach-a-Matics.

:text-welcomeconfetti: to the :rs:   It looks like Jeff and Lane have answered your questions on model year and standard implement attachment.

You will find many DIYers using the front attach-a-matic to mount generators, ice cream freezers, cut off saws, wood splitters and for us old timers with stiff necks that prevent us from see  what's behind the tractor.

Thank you the input, I will find the year and post some pictures of it. My model does have the 60" mower deck, so I think it's a 1996 model. Also I will look for an owners manual for the tractor so I can educate myself on the attach a matic
