wheelhorse421 2 #5 Posted March 3, 2019 My operators manual is SB-421 8-speed I have this tractor for about 6 years The Gentlemen I bought it from as the identification number in there and I guess the model number but the date he has on there is February 25, 1983 and I can't find anything for 1983 I have had other parts manual for my other wheel horses and I was able to download the manuals that would show everything wiring steering etc. I need a tie rod for this wheel horse and I can't find the part number may be a 1982 the same as in 1983 I don't know but I cannot find a parts manual for the 1983 I searched everywhere I'm just wondering if anyone has a parts manual complete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,252 #13 Posted March 4, 2019 The TIPL (Toro illustrated parts list or any other online parts list) for a particular model can be confusing. Most often they are shared with a similar model but fail to identify what parts fit what model. You can get an idea of what the other model or models are if you look at the engine page. In this case it is a B&S 11hp used in the SB-421 and a Kohler 16hp used in the model SK-486. On any page look for an illustration item number listed more than once in the parts list. If it does the same item has a different part number for each model but does not tell us which item fits which model. Some ipl's will show as many as five different engines and multiple transmissions so makes parts selection difficult. If in doubt ask questions and someone will help. At the end of the day it is the best we have so we have to work with it. The SB-421 and SK-486 are both 1982 models and only produced for one model year. Click on the fuzzy picture.
