Charger vs. Raider vs. Electro? Hydro / Manual / Electro?

I tried a search, but had little luck as in none.  I feel like this has been covered, so feel free to post a link to another thread if you’re the lucky searcher...

 

Is there much difference between the Chargers and Raiders... other than transmission type?  Electros have the electric clutch pto, what else are they based on?  Am I just plain ignorant and am missing something totally obvious?

 

I’m just trying to broaden my Horse identification skills based on pictures alone.

Between Chargers and Electros the difference was electric PTO on electro standard hydro lift (optional on Chargers) and chrome hubcaps. Note over the production period Chargers and electros used 3 different ignition systems. Battery Mag and Breakerless.

Pfrederi has got the E12 and the Charger covered. Electro as stated was sort of a blinged out Charger. They only came as a 12hp model. 68's usually had a magneto ignition, 69 the cursed Solid State, and 70 had a battery coil .. and a little mixing between each model year. The Charger came as 9, 10, and 12hp models with both Tecumseh and Kohler power. They also could have a manual or hydro lift as an option. Funny enough, one of my old sales literature papers even mentions an electric PTO for the Charger in '68. At which rate you could basically have an E12, but cheaper.. haha. 
As for the Raider, they were a standard transmission machine with both Kohler and Teccy power, 9 through 12 or 14hp I think. 
Electro was dropped in 1970, the Charger and Raider continued through to 1972 I think. 

I'm not sure about Raiders, but the Electro and Chargers all came with the limited slip 10 pinion differential, I'm not too well versed on the gear drive machines.

I thought I’d read on another post (maybe my own about my tractor with a Charger 9 model number on the tag but Charger 10 badges that appear original) that somewhere in the first *part of the* year of the Charger 9 they went from a 2 pinion to 10 pinion differential, but had originally been produced with the 2. 

I could be wrong, that’s why I’m asking, to calirfy and expand my own knowledge.

They were intended to be the cheapest hydro model, so it's possible they were just using up old stock of trannys? My 9 has the lsd rear end, they only made it 1 year, before the C10 in 69.. which was the same thing, just a different number. Not sure why they call it a 9 because the engine is a 10hp. Honestly I've never heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me. Think 1045 with the round fenders and square hood sort of thing. Or the 800 special with the older style implement attachment system and Peerless tranny.
