stevasaurus 22,868 #2 Posted February 26, 2019 Welcome to Red Square. The seals are available from TORO...#83-2840 . Grab a chair, they are about $23 apiece...but worth it for that horse. 3
AMC RULES 37,134 #3 Posted February 26, 2019 Confirm first, that your bronze axle bearings aren't worn excessively...otherwise you'll just be throwing your money away installing them new axle seals. 5
Achto 27,789 #4 Posted February 27, 2019 Good to have another Cheese Head on board!! As Steve said these are only available from Toro & yes they are pricey. As AMC said check you axle bushings. If there is any play in your axles, butting new seals in will be fruitless. 3

To check you bronze axle bearings, grasp the axle shaft and try to move it up and down. If it moves more than a tiny tiny visible amount your bearings are worn and need replacement. 1 hour ago, 953 nut said: We would love to see more pictures of your RJ. bottjernat1 2,190 #15 Posted March 5, 2019 (edited) i bought mine from motion industries. when i redid mine. they had all the bearings, bushings, and seals. and i asked if they had american made ones and they did. So i bought all american made stuff. it was made here in the good ol usa so i wanted to keep it that way. it didn't cost but a few bucks more. well worth it to me. So mine has a totally rebuilt transmission. she works great! Tractor 1958-59 RJ-58 RJ-59 IPL #A-7136.pdf Edited March 5, 2019 by bottjernat1 1
