Lane Ranger 10,946 #1 Posted February 25, 2019 This is the rare front sickle bar mower designed for the 701 Wheel Horse which has the chain drive running off the drive pulley. S good friend bought this and I know there are very few pictures of one of these on Red Square so enjoy the look see! five or six grease fittings on this front cutter bar. 5

oliver2-44 9,691 #7 Posted February 25, 2019 Simple design. I would like to see a picture inside of that round pipe section showing that wobble mechanism.
peter lena 8,583 #8 Posted February 25, 2019 I would bet that the "corn cob grease " would be very good on that type of blade shuttle action, along with a chain and cable spray. there is a lot to be said to the old school way of making things simple and bombproof. no design thought of a built in failure. I would love to see that working, pete
Pullstart 62,796 #9 Posted February 25, 2019 I pulled the sickle attachment off a David Bradley, with hopes of some day creating a custom mount for my 502. Of course it wouldn’t be as cool as that one!
