And yes I have fixed a pair but they will then be in a lower hole in the moldboard...i used a cutoff wheel on a 4.5" grinder they just "thread" on to the rod ends. I can get pics tomorrow. They're just very weak. When I got this plow there was a couple of parts that were very very rusty. Apparently the insides of these springs have eroded away quite a lot. Eric, they aren't cheap, those springs on mine (originally early 42") have set outside for many years and are still better than the set I got with the NOS xi series blade I got 4 years ago that I fixed by shortening... Lee1977 6,643 #5 Posted February 25, 2019 What is the size of those springs. In side diameter ? Wire diameter ? The length? They look a lot like old garage door springs.
