48" Deck on C-160????

How well does a C-160 with the Kohler 16hp single handle a 48" deck?  I have a nice 42" I can put on the tractor so no big deal if its not optimal.  I can put a 48" on my C161 without issue.

My twin Briggs 16 handles the 48” in high range 2 gear easily.

My 161 has the 22hp twin on it so not too worried about that tractor.  Might consider the 520 front end and a 60" on it

The C160 will handle it with no problem.  My C165 has never struggled to run my 48" deck in anything I've ever thrown at it.  I've ran 48s on a few 312s over the years with no issues unless I was in 12" tall, wet grass.  It would be interesting to see how well your Predator engine could handle the 60" deck (I wonder what the torque difference is) if you were to upgrade to a swept axle.

I guess i should probably look into the 520 front axle swap.  I have 3.1 acres to mow and the 60" deck would be nice.  Plus I am interested to see how it handles it.
