@lynnmor I have a question regarding these. Do they help the chute stay centered so as the gear notches on the chute stay engaged with the gear that turns the chute?

If your old ones are severely worn or cracked, then gear engagement would be improved with new ones.  My guides have a bit more surface to center the chute.  You might be able to adjust the amount of clearance for the gears by moving the worm bracket #6.

I actually moved the worm gear as close as possible and shimmed the right side of bracket #6 and it works so far. Just dont know how it will hold up when the white stuff starts flying. I appreciate your response and will keep your product in mind and may oder some in the future if you have em on hand. Again, thank you for your time and input. Greatly appreciate it!

Be aware that the guides have plenty of clearance from new, I make them with the same clearance.

That's fine worse case I have a spare set. Mine have sum pretty good groves cut into them from wear and allow the chute to move around to point gears won't engage.
