bds1984 1,444 #1 Posted February 10, 2019 Over the years I have owned a few Wheel Horses with an Eaton 1100; C195, C175, and a 520H (which I still own). The 520 is primarily a plow tractor which serves me just fine except that it is slow compared to the other two. I understand the difference in ground speed with the C195 is probably due to the larger rear tires on it, not a big deal. Before you ask, yes, I have checked the adjustments of the linkage and what not, I have checked the belt, the fluid and filter were changed within the last year, tires are the same size (23" tall), and it'll push/pull pretty much anything asked of it so I know the pump is not weak. So, let me pick your brains.... why is my 520 noticeably slower than my C175 and C195? Any ideas?
lynnmor 7,354 #2 Posted February 10, 2019 The 520HC had gearing for a higher ground speed than the 520H, perhaps someone knows if that is the case with the other tractors you mentioned.
