MalMac 1,331 #28 Posted February 8, 2019 You don’t have to have the reduction steering to use the swept axel. You will need the tie rods. If you are going to use your existing lower steering shaft you will need to add a extension plate on the shaft because the 520 tie rods will not mount to a standard lower shaft. Unless the lower shaft came off a 1990 520. The 90 520 had standard fan gear steering with the swept axel. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
