In my opinion the NFL and CBS are the winners. Outrageously high ticket prices and astronomical advertising costs will make them the big winner$!               :angry-soapbox:

:text-yeahthat: I would think, at the very least...we should be able to repair a bunch of roads with that kind of money, or maybe provide some clean drinking water...I know, how 'bout a little health care for those in need here in this country.  :scratchead:

I know...that's just crazy talk!!!

WHO'S READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!

Consider, in just advertising...

this year, one 30 second advert

will cost you a measly 5.2 million dollars...c'mon people, what are we doing?

Craig don’t even get me started with these corporations spending all this money on commercials and sponsorships :bitch:. Can’t even watch TV without seeing a insurance company telling you how much money you can save or watch a game with their name plastered all over the stadium. How about cut their budgets by 90% and use that money to lower our rates and pass on the savings :eusa-think: . I’m sure that money wouldn’t find its way back in the consumers pockets though.

Sorry for for my rant and getting  :offtopic:!

I havent really watched football for the past 3 years. This is a treat today. And like many said, the money thing for the NFL is outrageous and crazy.

I would like to see someone other than the Patriots win, but with the record and proficient football machine Brady and Belichick have honed over the years no matter the personnel, its hard to see them losing when it gets to this stage of the season.

They just never quit, and as long as there's a few seconds left on the clock, its totally foolish to count them out of the game with the ball in Brady's hands.

They are The Pros among the pros......

Happy Super I’ll be pulling my plow truck transmission Bowl Sunday!  Blew reverse out yesterday doing some light cleanup jobs.  I’m thankful I made it through the big storms and have a break in the weather!

They pretty much lost me over the nation anthem protest. I figure most of the players and 30 percent of Americans don't know the sacrifices that are given.

Im not saying they don't have the right to protest, I just think that 2 minutes of the anthem is a sacred time reserved to honor those heros that fought and continue to fight for our freedom!

I would surly not want to know what it would be like without our servicemen and veterans.

I watch some but will not go out of my way to see a game.

I didnt want to get to political with my comments. Frankly thats why I havent watched football either, same thing. This game is a treat, I liked football, NY Giants. But Kapernick killed it, than the rest of these high paid players followed along. Ok, I better stop, my blood pressure is going up.

Here Winter shows actual his teeth,

wanna mount a hitch and the Plowshield to the new Supporter, but no chance at all.

Working outside is actual no option...

Gentlemen...if I may, and I am not speaking for all veterans, but I am speaking as a veteran.  I am also speaking as a union steward for more the 25 years...(IBEW).  I will fight to the death, and I have, for anyone to be able to express their opinion.  Most of us do not have a platform that we can use to protest social injustice, some do...ie, athletes, political people, film stars, etc.  I have also fought for the right for any of you to disagree with what happens out there.  It is that simple and it is that complex.  I would take a knee to some of the social injustices that are going on...like separating kids from their parents.  This is not the United States of America that we all know and love.  What would you do, if some of the things that are going on upset you that much??  I would hope that you would find a way to protest.  That's what makes us different from any other country...we can do that.  If you do not like what is going on, that is fine also...but just know that veterans made it possible for you to express your opinion.  You are entitled to your opinion...you are also entitled to keep it to yourself.  Social injustice is real...I thank the people that are able to say something about it...even if it means their careers.

You know how long I have been wanting to say that...1974  :eusa-think:

I am a supporter of freedom of speech and freedom of the press!   BUT, when the press makes heroes of multimillionaire sports  and movie star protesters and doesn't give more than lip service to our veterans who have protected those rights I am offended.     :soapbox:

That is one of the things I like best about NASCAR Racing, they include the playing of our National Anthem and every driver and team stands with hand over heart, including Danial Suarez, a Mexican citizen who is very respectful of the privileged this country has offered him.   :handgestures-salute:

Depends on how much the Patriots prepaid, I mean, prepared.

This house always roots against Brady

As far as the Anthem.... The best thing everyone can do is speak for themselves. If you’re a veteran who agrees with the protest and message, you’re not wrong. If you’re a veteran that doesn’t agree you’re not wrong either. If you’ve never served, it matters only if you agree or disagree based on the merits of the protest and reasoning behind it. We who served all raised our right hands and swore an oath. We have our own voices, and are each and everyone capable of choosing which battles we want to fight on our own as “Veterans”.

The biggest issue I have is being used as a political talking point for either side, which is exactly what I feel like when this conversation is usually brought up.

I plan to fully rebuild, all clutches and steels, torque converter and valve body solenoids.  I’m also going to look for a “low fluid” sensor of some type, I have a feeling it was hurt about a week ago when a transmission cooling line broke.  I was out of town and asked my back up to simply keep dumping fluid in and get the job done.  Nobody’s fault, but my commitment to customers is what build a strong business.    As for the fuel tank, the door simply rusted off a couple years ago!  :handgestures-thumbupright:

Guys, I think we can do this...if we do not get real political and mention names.  Keep it clean and just add what you want to say.  We all know what the polls show...this is not here to try to change anyone's opinion, just express the one you have.   This is to express what we are all about.  :romance-grouphug:
