Sparky-(Admin) 21,326 #51 Posted January 15, 2021 I’ve been doing quite a bit of trail riding lately...usually with the C105. But today I dragged out my “Frankenstein 657”. This one hasn’t seen much use since I hauled it to Maine for the meet and greet at Jim’s Wheel Horse Emporium @JCM . Four yanks and the Mag-8 was purring ! About halfway thru the ride it felt like the tractor seat was getting wobbly, sure enough BOTH 3/4 nuts holding the seat to the seat spring had come loose. No tools so finger tight would have to do till I got back and installed the lock washers (had a couple in-stock ) that I shoulda installed back when I built this one. 1 5

WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #53 Posted January 15, 2021 That tractor just looks sweet and tuff. Especially out in the winter woods. 2

JCM 9,177 #55 Posted January 31, 2021 While the 417 was out this morning scraping the yard figured it was trail ride time after work was done. 1
ebinmaine 67,592 #56 Posted January 31, 2021 Can't have all work and no play even if you're a tractor. Nice work sir.
JCM 9,177 #57 Posted December 28, 2021 Driveway clean up and then a nice trail ride on the 417 today. Wanted to get a shot where the lineup was at the M & G, only one that showed up was a resident Whitetail by the looks of those tracks. 1

Sparky-(Admin) 21,326 #59 Posted December 28, 2021 I’m looking forward to a snowy trail ride this winter ..not to deep of course.

We are running quite a bit behind like many areas of the country as far as base snow is concerned and we are already at the point where we couldn't get a tractor into the woods anymore. Perhaps.... I should more seriously consider the tracks and skis system that pops up in discussion once in awhile.
peter lena 8,634 #61 Posted December 28, 2021 @Sparky just got back from a cul de sac tour , have 3 of them inside of a 1/4 mile , no mud and no traffic , regularly use them to test them on any horse work , also a good spot for a trans flush warm up , doing a flush after a ride , makes the cleaning oil foam up with cleaning action , the drainage is very good . always bring a few small tools and and some carb cleaner if needed . good to keep them active in the wait for snow , pete
