Tractorhead 9,064 #151 Posted July 27, 2019 After i had today that inaceptable phone call, i cancel the Contract. I accept stress, but i don‘t accept unkindness in that Way. However, drove to the Office and ask if i could use the Machines, a Yes started my nightly Action. first i quick dismount the FEL Parts and put in my Car. Than i sorted my Materials and begin a hardcore cut, drill &Welding session. Yes i know, no Seams they worth a Price but they Last and i had just few Hours. Normally i hate it, do things in houding but no Time for any Breaks. I welded both inside and outside and i‘m far from a professional Welder. but for my purposes it lasts and it is good enough. a lot of Metal must be cutted, drilled, formed and Welded. i ended up with a nearly complete Final new FEL in Steel. just the Struts are still just Material but Precutted. Consoles are reworked and improved made of 5mm Steel All together was done in 4h + 1h for Cooling and completely Handcrafted. the Console differs a bit from the Plan but i must build a Solution, i can handle myself. I’m proud of the Result.

Tractorhead 9,064 #154 Posted July 27, 2019 Started the Paintjob. i decided again, to use Hamerite Black for painting after long years positive experiences with that Stuff. Trying between something different, but that was the best in case of last. I used it on my last Truck, an old Mercedes, to keep the Frame in shape especial on harsh envoirement. Even the Guy who's buy my Truck and rework it, call‘s me and ask what Color i used. there was nearly no Rust at all on the whole Frame. That call yesterday forces my decision, that i‘ll be right. drove today early quick to Construction market and get 1/2 Liter of that Stuff. Than i begin to prepare the lift Consoles, also repaint the base Console on the Tractor. firstly with Drill and Steelbrush, later with sanding vlies. After that i cleaned all with Silicon and fat remover, than i be prepared. Thinkin how i paint it, once by Rattlecan or by paintroller, i decided to use the Paintroller and a brush. Than i firstly painted the first Layer. Than second and finally third. The details i stipped with brush and reworked with the roller for get a similar skin. cannot remove easy the Weldingspots in that small Area with the Steelbrush or Flex, but they don‘t disturb the functionallity, so i decide to let‘em. The Paint will do the trick to hide them a bit. 😎 😂 I‘m fine with the Result. Tomorrow if it didn‘t rain, i will begin mount the consoles and paint the Arms partially. The safety Hooks i decide to screw on, but this comes later, after i see, if my Valveblock does not collide with them. Otherwise the will be integrated in the Mountplate for the Valveblock. but for now it’s time let the Paint dry and urgently a Coffeebreak is required, later i have to harvesting some Potatoes for Dinner today. 😇 I like it, if it work like this 👍🚜 1
Tractorhead 9,064 #155 Posted July 27, 2019 Madness sings :“One step beyond“ - had that song today as Earworm, and after Coffeebreak, i looked at the Weather, hum so far nothing to see, just few smaller Clouds. ah, common, let‘s painted the Arms and while color dries that fast at 36deg, i mounted the Liftconsoles back on the Beast. Looks better than i expected, then i painted the Basearms partially, while i finished, i had a look at the Sky. oooops, some Deep dark Clouds has a hurry. maybe i had to hurry myself, bring the painted Arms in shed, (i had luck, kati is out) 😂 than i quick harvest my Dinner for today. Now they realy can be called Potatoes. It was just one Plant i harvest today, but ebit is more that the first ones. Dinner for today is clear, roasted Potatoes..😎 🧐 2

Tractorhead 9,064 #157 Posted July 27, 2019 Just a short ligh shower was occur, than it come heat again. Cool, time for Tinker. Because i’m soooooo curious, if all my Calculations until now are right, i do the first Test with real Things. few mm differences are ok, i just wanna know if things fit as i had Planed ahead or if i did bigger mistakes. Ok, i have one mistake found, the changed and ordered Hydrauliccylinder has the greasenipple on the opposite side than the first, i missed this item in my Order. Aaaaarggghh. 🙄 Next issue i see yesterday in the Nightworker Action, the 25mm drillbit was extremly soft, it seems it is not hardened, in that case unusable, I contact the Dealer and drill instead 20mm for now. Maybe i work with standoff’s we will see. Than the big moment reached, (Drum roll) Tadaaaaa. 😂 boah looks that Cool. And it Fits, even with missed Greasenippels (gladly enough space planed) 😎 I must Lift the arm to Grease, but i can Deal with, so the consequences are low. Then my urgendst Challenge, did i reached the 2,30? (Don‘t look at my fingernails, the chewed..) This was a 3Meter rod (thanks by Mercedes for that Giveaway) 👍👍 The Mark is at 2,35m - chacka. Buddy‘s i cannot bring in Words how glad i am, to Solve that. it‘s real high, so the Rollover Protector is definiteley a must. i‘m also real Proud of the changed Shape, because it will give a pretty Cool Housing if all is finished. The „Church roof“ will be changed later into a cabin, this idea was in background. a short impression from Driver Seat. 1

Tractorhead 9,064 #159 Posted July 28, 2019 Today is a Black flag Day, I’m honestly shocked about i get yesterday a phonecall by a fella, i sended my Pictures of FEL. A good Buddy of mine has an hardly Accident with his Tractor, while playing on slope. He want to harvest quickly, because Weatherforecast tells some Rain and maybe Storm. He was about 50% done, than his Tractor slips a bit sideways and suddenly gets grip again an tilt sideways. I immediately try to give him a Call, to hear what’s happen and give him some funny jokes we did normally, but i can‘t reach him. Today i got a callback and his Girlfriend was on the Phone, She‘s hardly crying and tell me the whole Story of what‘s happen. His Tractor didn’t just tilt, it rolls completely over and He was under the Tractor. He didn‘t survived this Accident and dies on the Way to the Hospital.😢 Writing those lines with tears in my Eyes, because now he is a big miss. We didn‘t see us that often, but if we did, it was a feeling like a Brother. We‘re both the same childheads, and have identical interests. To all who‘s read my Posts, please take Care about yourself, working on slope can be very Dangerous, keep this in mind. In deep sadness Stefan
Stormin 9,981 #160 Posted July 28, 2019 Sorry to hear that, Stefan. These things can soon happen when your in a hurry.
Tractorhead 9,064 #161 Posted July 30, 2019 A lot or Rumours in my Head. To come to other toughts, i still try to keep working a bit on my FEL. Firstly i drove the Beast into Frontyard, to have it closer to the Shed and test the Clearance. The curb has a measured height of 25cm, so i put 4WD in and it still climbs over. No scratch heared, the Clearance is fine. Than i parked an grinding both sides on Hydraulicmount same Way.. after finishing, i do second times Paintjob on FEL and look about some other issues and repair few paintscratches after Work. I decide, i will improove the upper joint and release the greasenipples, to be able to handle them even FEL is down. Additionally i prepare the Rearaxle support. A big mistake occurs by veryfing. i measured the Struts again after i planed and wonder why they differs but i cutted them ahead, but i didn’t imagine i just screwed the Liftarms both to inner side. So i forgot to add 40mm in length - Ouch, that hurts, all are allready cutted too short.🙄 But ok, so i have some material in spare.. 😂 Again measured the Struts for implementing on several points. yes, once again all +40mm more... let‘s do so. 😎
Tractorhead 9,064 #162 Posted August 2, 2019 (edited) Just few ministeps are possible. 🙄 The Weather can not be calculated, and it continousely begin to drip. Than i have quick to interrupt and wait what‘s happen. Firstly i started with the Serial Plate, what is now Lasered. All given Datas are confirmed by ISEKI Europe, than i started to align the FEL Arms and welded the Base Strut. Rain...🙄 After i have all put in shed, it seemed it stay‘s dry so far. Next Try, pull everything out, started the Welder, start the Flex, to cut a strut in Dimension i need, - you know it - again it begin to drip. This game was done 7 times, than i give up. grab fix the Flex and cleanup the Edges of the Base Strut, Than i cleaned the Arms completely with Steelbrush flex and painted them. So if i must now welding, i must first remove the Paint, but it‘s better than it all will be rusty. Think it looks pretty Cool. if Weather is more constant, i weld the Valveblock Mount and the remaining struts for more stability. At Least for today i drilled the Base hole for the Rearaxle Strut and paint it quickly, before next Rain comes. while finished, Rain is starting. i kept it outside, curious if a nice Pattern will occur... 😎 not a good Day for working outside. Tractorhead 9,064 #163 Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) Weather seems good at 9:30, it was sunny by 18*C. So i started after a good Beakfast to dismount the Fork for adapting Works. Firstly i use Anglegrinder and rework the Distance for the Greasenippels, to Service them even if FEL is down. Cut it widely out and smoothened after with the Flapdisc. Than i recutted the Liftarm enforcement, to get closer with the Grinder in and smoothened the Weldings inside. After grinding i try, if the Hydraulics fit as it shall. 6mm thick Steel produces a lot of Steeldust while cutting. it was fairly that wide my Anglegrinder needs in Clearance, to go in and clean and smoothened the Welding seams. To keep Hydraulic cylinders in Place, i used a precision Tube with outside dia. 25mm and drilled 2 hole with 2mm and cut them in 38mm length. Than i pressed it in the Balljoint as an Distance for easy removing by a Quickdismount with an 20mm Bolt. Maybe i will use later the 20mm Screw’s we will see. If so, i drill a 5mm hole thru, and put a safety Splint after Nut. a short test how all fit‘s To get it a bit more smooth, i grinded the eye of the Cylinder also a bit on the Edges. Yap, it fit‘s like i expected. Then i feel a light breeze..... ok maybe 20 min. To left 🙄 so far for now... Coffeebreak😎 Edited August 3, 2019 by Tractorhead 1
Tractorhead 9,064 #164 Posted August 3, 2019 After Coffeebreak i hoped the Paint dries quick so far. Yes, it seemed good enough, to handle it, so i mounted all together for a Second real movement Test. All ahead, if i‘m able to handle it allone without any Help or a second person. yes, it can be handled allone, Not the lightest Work, but it can be Attached allone. Now i‘m able to measure the final length of the Tubes, to connect the whole hydraulics together. Think i will use 4 Quick connectors, to attach or detach the Hydraulics for a fast change. Another measuring if alignment was given. yes. Boy. Look that cool with Cylinders in... can‘t wait for first Testrun when all is finally. 2
Tractorhead 9,064 #165 Posted August 4, 2019 (edited) Another Day another chance to do something. just adapt the Valveblock and mount it. Therefore i build a Baseplate, where the Valveblock is just scewed later. Than i rounded the Edges and paint it. Coffeebreak Drilled 2 holes, threaded and screwed the Valveblockbaseplate by 2 Screws. So i have the option if the Place was wrong for usability i can later simply move. Because all Hydraulic was on right side, i decided to mount the Valveblock on the right, also while i planed it before on the left Console. We will see if this was a fail or not. Positive is, that the Hydraulictubes become shorter. Rethinkin if i use Pipes and tubes or just tubes but actual no decision is made finally. It also depends on Bendingradius, if i have enough clearance. Edited August 4, 2019 by Tractorhead 2

Tractorhead 9,064 #168 Posted August 6, 2019 Thanks for your Kind words my Friend. The hardest thing for me was, that i wasn‘t realy comfortable with her, because she is a bit different and a agressive Person, but he loves her and i accepted that. After my condolence wishes, she told me immediately, she didn‘t wanna see me at his funeral. No answer why - That was a hard slap in my Face but i agreed to stay away, wish her the best and ended the Call. It was maybe better for us both. So i just able to give him the last honor in my Mind. But my Friend is allways still with me, once in my Mind and in my Heart.
Tractorhead 9,064 #169 Posted August 8, 2019 Find few hours to do a bit today. Firstly i drilled 2 Holes in a Rect. Pipe. And mount if for Measurement. Looks good so far, than i use 2 pieces from the Cutted Steelparts and welded them on. Than i grind the edges round and clean the Steel from Rust. with a bit Paint i prepainted it, that i can mount it tomorrow. while no more work can be done for the Day, i go to the Potatoes and harvest Dinner. Hum is there no more inside ???? 🤔 aaaah, here they are.. 🤩 the first Plant and another one with follow result... Dinner is Safe, lets make some Potatoesalad today for Dinner. i love it! 2
Tractorhead 9,064 #170 Posted August 9, 2019 Sooooo, noon work is done. working with an Earworm from Phill Collins - another Day in Paradise... I started with the FrontBar, drilled few Holes, than screwed in and later repaint. than some ordered Parts arrived... hear just DHL is here and lurking to the Fence. than i grinded few precutted pipes 4 cm and prepare for insert. After the inserts are setted, i cutted a 2meter Flat 50mm by 5mm in pieces of 64 cm. They result with few things are done with Anglegrinder and a Drill as Struts between Frontbar and Liftconsole. than i paint them and mount them. Looks good, than i grabbed my iPad and ordered the Tubes for the Hydraulics. I also added a Blast protection tube with the Tubes. I shortly decide to use Tubes, in case of moving of any other Position of the Valveblock. Additionally also ordered now 2 Hydraulic lifters, 32/20 with 400 mm range for the Front End. As Frontend i decide to build a „Euro mount“ quick changer for Quick exchange of Tools. At least i prepared the other precuttet pipes, and have a look if i would do this Way, with a bolt and Spring for quick dismount, or i leave it as it is. Maybe i welded them tomorrow, but weather forecast tells some Rain - we will see. Decision is not taken in the Moment. And Weatherforecast is actually more like reading Coffeeground.
Tractorhead 9,064 #171 Posted August 9, 2019 Inserted the Backstrut to Gearbox, or better Rear Axle. Allready screwed to the Rear Axle. And in the Rear, it was long enough for a permanent Trailerhook, that releases the threepoint. Pretty nice Fit.
Tractorhead 9,064 #172 Posted August 10, 2019 Weather forecast is partially right. So i used the Rainfree hours to do Today some minor Work. Not only at The Beast. Firstly i begin with the draining Fuel and change the Fuel lines, because marten has biten and it drips if engine runs, it just sweat a bit if Tractor was off. After i did a closer inspection, i see a Gauge like „Old School“ . Boy, i love that and decide i will reactivate. Get a piece of clear Tube to exchange with the Black one. that was the Result.. after refilled it shows me the Fuel, what is in Tank. Pretty Cool. Than, while i drove yesterday in later noon, i missed a bit light on the Road, the car light is pretty weak. I thinkering someday‘s the light will be very Weak, so i ordered 2 Front lights ahead. The shine they shall bring to the road was nor really sharp. They where surely bright but not where i need them. in the Morning when they Wet, they look not too bad, but after mounting the new ones a significant difference was happen. They arrives yesterday and today i quickly changed them. What a difference. The right one is the 25 year old, the left one is a new one allready inserted. Because of the blind glass, the light will be diffus spreaded and thats the reason it felt to Weak. Then by th Test i found out, one of the Servos, the changed the bright wide hungs. Because im on the Way, i still reworked it and remount. Another urgently Issue Solved.let‘s have a Coffee 😎 2
Tractorhead 9,064 #173 Posted August 11, 2019 (edited) Welding Day. to get another issue Solved, while waiting for the Tubes, i decided to Weld today. Begun with a Front Lever based on Euro quickmount, but i did not use the exact Specs. Also while i found out, that they differs between several Manufacturers. So i decided to use my own „Standart“ but with simply available mounts, i just change the distances. Because the Lifts actually on the Way i still work straight forward without pay Too much Attention to them. try if i can reach my Tilt. So far it looks good.just by measuring. shortly thinkerin on an auto leveler, but it can be mounted Later. even on Ground i‘m fine with Tilt Angles. The Final mount will be made by 2x M12 10.9. They had a ripforce of 4 Tons each, what shall be enough. if it‘s to weak, i simply increased to M12 12.9 with a ripforce of 6 Tons. The bolts are mounted with inner Spacers, that they have more flesh. After finishing that, i Welded the Backstrut in and repainted after cooling. the Paint close to the Welding will be firstly removed with Steelbrush than welded. After the Seam is cleaned by Steelbrush to see what‘s happen. on, cool down than Another Job is done, now have a Coffee. Cool Day for Welding, sun was shining an a bit Wind occurs. While finished Coffeebreak, i just derusted the Link and Painted the basements, even i knew, it must be finished. But Rust comes quicker, than the Tubes... than i again measured the max. angle, i wanna reach. Edited August 12, 2019 by Tractorhead Correccted Values, while misstyping. 1
Tractorhead 9,064 #174 Posted August 11, 2019 After Dinner, i quickly decide to premount the Quick Connectors for Hydraulics. Now, where i measured the length, i mount them to quickly Attatch if Tubes are delivered. looks really sharp and handling is good. slow but steady it comes to the Final Stage. 2
Tractorhead 9,064 #175 Posted August 14, 2019 Some Parts arrived. Tilt cylinders, Hydraulic Oil and Blastprotection tubes are arrived. still waiting for the Tubes, they are announced for Friday. hope for it. 1
