dkg520 509 #1 Posted January 30, 2019 For some time now I’ve been thinking of getting a tractor lift. Getting tired of laying on my garage floor. If anyone here has one they would like to sell or have any suggestions as what to purchase I would appreciate the help. Thank you
rdeanrj58 68 #2 Posted January 30, 2019 I use a motorcycle lift from harbor freight. Just had to build some wood extensions to make the table a little wider. Makes working on tractors so much nicer. Please excuse the mess. Sorry not a very good pic 3

ohiofarmer 3,265 #5 Posted January 30, 2019 (edited) This one is also from Harbor Freight. I use mine all the time for many things besides a machinery lift Such as putting the thing on a wheeled dolly and unloading hundreds of pounds off a truck bed. The 20% off coupon works on them, so your net price is 143.00 using the coupon. Lift height from 2" to 30" i like it so well that I bought another one. The big advantage of these lifts is they take up very little floor space and will push under a bench or something. The only thing to be careful of is that you must get the load balanced end to end.. Common sense applies here. I have had 800 pounds on my lift, but a lighter load unbalanced would not be good. I would like to copy the geometry of this lift and possibly use a one ton engine lift as the main lift tower. It would probably lift to six feet high You could make a basic platform the size you want for your tractor and drive the tractor on the platform and lift it all up on benches and that frees up the lift for other projects. The image shown only has it at about half the full height of 30" Edited January 30, 2019 by ohiofarmer 1
dkg520 509 #6 Posted January 30, 2019 Is anyone familiar with the motorcycle lift from Nothern Tool in comparison to the Harbor Freight lift? Any advantage of one owner the other?

squonk 41,028 #11 Posted January 31, 2019 I had the HF lift. Lifted the 1267 one time and that was it. Bled pump and couldn't get it high enough to engage the lock. Sold it at a loss because I had no desire to manhandle it back into my truck. Use a lift table that picked the same tractor with no issues multiple times

Please enlighten us. https://www.hfqpdb.co Some if not most stores will accept the code number of a coupon, but one onery manager in Troy Ohio did not accept them or even the image of one in a smartphone. Paper coupons of 20% off simply flood magazines where I live. local advertising papers, and even the American Rifleman Magazine , as just one example. We collect at least 5 a week. I never leave the store without using a 20% off as well as one free item every time I visit. Harbor Freight also blessed me with free gift cards in four figures recently due to an advertising settlement [which I mentioned how to access on this forum] If you cannot still find a paper coupon and need one, PM me your address and I will send you some with expiration dates expiring a few months out.. You can even get 25% off on most holidays if you wait for it... Edited January 31, 2019 by ohiofarmer

Since you showed us this website, I use it all the time to track stuff--and then wait for a good price from HFT. While I am here, just let me mention some industrial surplus sites https://hgrinc.com/?all=1&view&aisle&from&to&markdowns&newarrivals&sort&kw=table lift&per_page=24&min_price&max_price&pn=1 This is an air lift table that will lift two tons. You could take this bad boy and have it inset into your concrete floor. add extensions and lift anything you want. set two and lift a car--for cheap Sure you have to do your homework, but with just the nameplate in the picture it is possible to pull up the specs from the manufacturer's website. I found this at HGR Surplus and typed in "lift table" On edit, It appears that this table has been sold, so I will include more info on what it is--an Airlift LT45650RDH Powered by air sold for $245.00 and it weighs over 2000 pounds and will lift 4000 lbs. Buy two of them and lift a car, or buy one of them and make a table top the size you want for your wheel Horse.... my lift tabe is made in New England and i had a question or two and was able to talk to the engineers about what it needed and the repair parts were still available for a 20 year old unit. Nothing wrong with a HFT lift, but for a bit more money and some painting and cleaning and new bushings, I have a real beast of a lift that goes 42" high. Here is my rescue from HGR. It is externally powered with a Harbor freight hydraulic unit and lifts 2000# to 41 inches high Edited February 5, 2019 by ohiofarmer 2
