Cub 104 w/ hydraulic lift

Recommended Posts

Mike'sHorseBarn

FINALLY added this 104 to my collection today. I've been after the previous owner to sell it to me for about 4 years now, and after he replaced it with a john deere he was ready to part with it. Never had a cub with a hydraulic lift like this before and I'm really excited about it! It has a 48" deck and lights. Original engine took a crap in the 90's and it was replaced with a new k241 at that time. Had the lighter too, but it went missing at some point in time. I have a snow blade here that will fit it, but I'm not sure what I'll need to hook it up to the hydraulic lift. Really happy to have this one!

😎 beans, my very first garden tractor was CC106 with the "creeper" drive hi/lo box and a 42" deck, was brought up on the cubs, but wanted hydraulics and a brand new one at that so I ended up with my Anniversary 520H March of 1998, I found another 106 near me for sale but will needs lots of TLC, Good luck with your new toy.

At one time, I had several Cub Cadet 104s, one being a hydraulic lift.  I also had hydraulic lift on a Cub Cadet 123.  I wasn't impressed with the hydraulic unit, so I took it off and sold it and converted that 123 to manual lift.

Under Edit: I would also will say, my C-141 Automatic, and my C-125 Automatic had a more responsive hydraulic lift on it compare to the units on my CC 123 and 104.

I guess I have been spoiled by Deere's hydraulic units which were a lot faster than the unit on the 123 I had.  It was slow and slugish, not nearly as precise or fast as the ones I was used to on the JD's I had.  Maybe it was just this hydraulic unit, but the one on the 104 I had wasn't any better.

Here are my 104s and my 123, that I had.  I kind of wish I still had a couple of those 104s and the 123 back.

the hydraulic lift is a nice option, my case 220 has a snowblade on it, I used it alot this fall destroying brush and stick piles in the woods opening up trails

I'm not a huge cub cadet guy, for some reason they just never appealed to me that much. They're a good tractor don't get me wrong, I'd just rather work on a horse lol. But when I saw that this thing had a hydraulic lift and a 48" deck, I knew just enough that those are uncommon options on a 104 and that if I can bring that thing home I better do it!

Yes, the hydraulic lift bring some good money, if sold separately.
