ebinmaine 68,391 #2 Posted January 24, 2019 I wouldn't personally use an after-market one because you can get an original Toro for 10 bucks or so I know there were two or three different designs and one changed to the other or something like that. ebinmaine 68,391 #10 Posted January 25, 2019 I forgot to measure my spring last night so I just went and looked up my post where I was trying to figure out the Clutch and Brake issue on my 1267. Here's the quote from the spring measurement of the one I put on the tractor: new one is 7-11/16" I don't know the wire diameter but if you have your old spring and you use the above length listing (or something slightly shorter) you should be able to get something that will work. Larry Chamberlain 16 #17 Posted February 18, 2019 It's a stens just put it on it grinds a little but goes in feels like it needs to be just a tag bigger wonder if I could get that but putting a slightly smaller pulley on the rear it's a little over a 6 1/4 I bet if I could find a 6 inch pulley it would prolly work fronts a 4 but its tapped for the clutch wont beable to change that Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You may want to try to drive it around a little bit and see what happens. Grinding gears is obviously bad so that does not want to be a long-term thing. Sounds like the front pulley is the stock one. Do you have any idea if the rear one has ever been changed. Maybe as you think it is just a tiny bit too big? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Larry Chamberlain 16 #19 Posted February 22, 2019 The 82 1/2 ended up being the right one I left it idle for a good ten minutes or so hopped on and went right in gear had to fix a couple things on the plow got that done and went and plowed my driveway sidewalk and my neighbors driveway didnt miss a beat motor sounds good and strong thanks for the help 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
