oliver2-44 9,761 #5 Posted January 12, 2019 Very Nice, did you get the blade that goes in the front of that mount. if you have a serial number I can tell you the year. I recently came across a chart with that info.
squonk 41,155 #6 Posted January 12, 2019 (edited) Going to say early 60's . Plow frame looks like it's either homemade or another brand adapted to fit. Edited January 12, 2019 by squonk

I recently came across a chart with that info. Thank you. I did get the blade with the tractor I removed it in order to make it fit on the trailer. I did try to run the serial number on the small plate below the dash. I did not come up with anyting. From what I can tell there should have been a larger plate on the dash itself. Unfortunately that plate is gone.
JC 1965 1,530 #8 Posted January 12, 2019 Economy made great little tractors. They are really hard workers.

Should look like this...minus the box tubing I welded on it to adapt to my Kioti... Edited January 12, 2019 by WVHillbilly520H 2
squonk 41,155 #10 Posted January 12, 2019 That blade was for 73 and up Economys. Older blades had the trip springs in the center close to each other 2
squonk 41,155 #11 Posted January 13, 2019 @Herder here is the proper blade.

Herder 2,354 #13 Posted January 18, 2019 Got the economy tractor running today. It took three people to get her pushed into the shop. WOW, heavy. Post some pics this weekend. 3
Keith 21 #15 Posted February 3, 2019 I have a '77 1614. Its not visibly rusty, but the rear wheels are frozen to the hubs and both transmissions are jammed - can't get into neutral to push the tractor.
Herder 2,354 #16 Posted March 24, 2019 Economy Tractor, the new wrecker. She's big & ugly enough to be crowned the Queen of the Boneyard. Towed a five hundred pound WH with flat tires through the mud form the boneyard to the shop with ease. Spring project C-101.

Herder 2,354 #20 Posted April 18, 2019 The Economy Tractor hooks another one. Stuffed it right in the shop. So much easier than tugging, pushing & pulling which is usually followed by a series of obscenities.
ebinmaine 67,626 #21 Posted April 18, 2019 You can still let out your series of obscenities while using your Economy Tow Truck

Pullstart 62,912 #24 Posted May 9, 2019 That “new” Sears Suburban has a manual 3 point, I have the links too. I wonder if it could be adapted to be a crane lift fulcrum.... Oh boy. Another project. Thanks @Herder!

Oh boy. Another project. Thanks @Herder! Time to build a tow truck. It makes life easier. I've gotten to old to push around 500 pound tractors with flat tires, well lets call it lazy.
