Joan Dorst 34 #27 Posted February 2, 2019 is this original or does not that strip belong?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,096 #28 Posted February 2, 2019 It should be there. This illustration looks like it is angle iron instead of flat bar and the earlier models of blade do not show anything between them. Since the A-frame fits between the brackets it is important that the axle mounts be properly spaced to capture the round A-frame cross bar. Likely an improvement made to make sure the ends of the bar did not fall out. The later design had the A-frame outside the axle brackets so the round bar could not fall out. https://www.partstree.com/parts/toro/accessories/bd-4267-toro-42-snow-dozer-blade-1967/dozer-blade-bd-4264/ Garry

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,096 #30 Posted February 6, 2019 No idea what it is. Looks like a brake pad riveted to it that would stop a belt or idler from turning when that drive was disengaged. Have looked at every attachment I can think of and don't see it. Garry
Sarge 3,463 #31 Posted February 6, 2019 That almost looks like a later model vertical shaft engine deck pulley brake - definitely doesn't belong on your '66 anywhere. Have identified exactly what model Sundstrand hydrogear is currently installed? Sarge
