dells68 7,498 #26 Posted January 2, 2019 I’d love to give it a go Richard, but I always find other wheel horses that need my attention. Could you imagine what a beast even a stock air cooled VW engine with dual Kadrons would be? What if you stepped up the game with larger jugs and dual Weber carbs? I can dream, but money is my biggest obstacle!

And @953 nut When I was a kid my neighbor used to burn a lot of firewood and they would pull it off of the lot in 4 ft length and we would help them run the saw rig to get it down to 16 inches. One of the buck saws they had was a 36" or larger round blade and it was spun by a 45 horsepower air-cooled VW engine. Pretty rare you'd to get that thing to bog down.

People don’t give aircooled VW engines credit for the power they make. Lots of grunt for a little motor!
