cast iron deck tower grease fittings--extensions

Recommended Posts

I am curious about the little two inch [or so] grease fittings that go on the old decks that allow you to grease the deck pulley towers from the top through holes in the deck.  i wonder if these are a combined part that includes a 90 degree grease fitting , or is the fitting removeable?   The place that the grease fiitting snaps on has seen some corrosion and the grease gun leaks around it.

My temporary fix is just a straight 1/8" grease fitting underneath the deck, but i wonder about how to do a proper restore. I am sure that the experts will have a way to get it done>>>>

The 1056 is hungry to cut some grass. i am having a ball doing a minimalist mechanical restore from the spare parts tractors living in the barn

953 nut

They appear to be standard 1/8 NPT fittings and pipe nipples.
